A staff member is always available to help and provide advice at our Resource Centres where you will find:
- Computers, Internet, newspapers, a telephone, a fax machine, a printer, and a photocopier
- Access to adaptive devices for persons with disabilities (including assistive keyboards, mice, trackball, low mobility software and a Reading Pen®)
- Information on the local labour market, careers and occupations, Employment Ontario programs, and community programs and resources
- Information on education/training opportunities and requirements including apprenticeship and self-employment
- Career planning and job search strategies
- Assistance with resumes, cover letters, and interview skills
- A variety of self-directed software to learn at your speed
- Information on workplace safety, including rights and responsibilities of individuals and employers
- WHMIS and Basic Occupational Health & Safety certification
Employment Resource Centres are located at The WorkPlace in Sarnia and The WorkPlace County Outreach in Petrolia. All services are free.
