There are several government funded programs designed to assist with employment. Our knowledgeable Employment Consultants can provide more information and access to the following programs:

Ontario Targeted Wage Subsidy

The Ontario Targeted Wage Subsidy is designed to:

  • Provide work experience to unemployed eligible people
  • Enable employers to hire eligible people by reimbursing a short-term wage subsidy

A Consultant can help you determine eligibility and provide you with access to Ontario Targeted Wage Subsidy.

Second Career

If you are laid off or underemployed Second Career is an Ontario government program that can help you:

  • Train for a new career
  • Find out what is needed in the job market
  • Learn about careers that build on your skills
  • Get financial support, possibly up to $28,000 towards training costs

An Employment Consultant can determine if you are eligible and get you started.

Ontario Job Creation Partnership

Ontario Job Creation Partnerships is an employment program that provides work experience to unemployed job seekers within projects that benefit the community or local economy. At the end of their participation, participants in the program will have recent work experience and additional skills to add to their résumés, increasing their chances of successfully finding long-term employment.

Ontario Self-Employment Benefit

The Ontario Self-Employment Benefit helps unemployed people start their own businesses. Successful applicants experience 10 weeks of intensive business skills development training while completing a comprehensive business plan that fully supports their business idea. In addition, participants are provided with ongoing business advisor counseling services and income support for up to one year while they develop and implement their business plan.

Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities

The Opportunities Fund is a Service Canada program designed to help people with disabilities prepare for and obtain employment or self-employment. The Opportunities Fund can provide financial help that may cover a range of expenses such as tuition, commuting and care for dependants, or special arrangements or devices to accommodate a person with a disability.
